
EDURIGHTS4GIRLS - Equal access to education project, implemented by GO-AHEAD Association, in partnership with Neamț County School Inspectorate and Suceava School Association for Education and Development, with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021, ends at the end of February 2023.
EDURIGHTS4GIRLS - Equal access to education project aimed at a change of perspective in the educational area, through personal development programs for female students, with a medium-term impact in increasing self-esteem and combating gender stereotypes, the number of those who complete school, and in the long term in improving these problems in Romanian society.
On February 23rd 2023, the Final Conference of EDURIGHTS4GIRLS - Equal access to education project will take place in the Hall of the Petru Mușat Technical College in Suceava, with the participation of representatives of the project partners, principals and school counsellors of the 15 high schools involved in the project from Neamț and Suceava counties and media partners. Also, within the event will be held an open discussion session, moderated by Rodica Corina Andrei, sociologist, GO-AHEAD Association, about the actions carried out within the project regarding gender equality, non-discrimination and gender violence, and there will be a presentation of the conclusions of the study carried out within the project.
The study on the current situation regarding gender rights and gender equality, the issue of gender discrimination in Neamț and Suceava counties represents, together with the debates held with education professionals, a starting point for monitoring reports, advocacy and implementation of gender equality policies and legislation and action plans, according to the needs of each county involved.
